Pasig Diocese joins Earth Day

15 APRIL - The ongoing climate change is a clear manifestation of the destruction of God's creation as a result of man's greed and apathy. If not reversed or mitigated, it will bring untold destruction and miseries specially to the vulnerable sector, the poor and the underprivileged.

It is in this regard that the Diocese of Pasig joins the world in observing "Earth Day" on April 22, 2009 to bring to the fore the issue of climate change to increase the awareness regarding this problem and for people to take concrete action to mitigate it.

Together with Balikatang Lingap Pamayanan, Inc. as the lead convener of Greensavers and Sinrisers net and CENRO of Pasig City, diocesan bishop Francisco San Diego announced that special masses will be held in all parishes on April 26 at 6:00 p.m. to highlight the call of caring for God's creation.
