Diocesan policy on chapel baptisms bared

In queries regarding the diocesan policy on baptisms held in parishes during feast days, Pasig Bishop Francisco San Diego announced that it is customary and allowed to have chapel baptisms during fiestas because usually parents would prefer to have their child baptized in places near their homes and to have just one preparation for and celebration of the baptism and fiesta due to financial considerations.

However, the bishop also reminded the faithful of the following obligations whenever baptisms would be held in chapels:

1. to give proper attention on the submission of requirements for baptism, and
2. to instruct the parish secretaries to properly register the baptismal data in the canonical books.
