On May 12, 2013 on the Solemnity of the Ascension of the
Lord, we shall be celebrating the 47th World Communications Day.
I am sending to your Reverences the message of the Holy
Father, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI for the 47th World Communications
Day by which you may develop your homilies.
There will also be a special collection to be used for the apostolate of
evangelization through the use of mass media.
Also, please invite 10 to 20 of your parishioners to attend
the Mediafest 2013, the Media Ministry’s celebration of the Year of Faith in
the Diocese of Pasig on May 17, 2013, 1 – 4 p.m. at the Pasig Catholic College
Aula Minor, Pasig City. Highlighting
this festival are the Media Conference to be given by none other than our
Beloved Bishop, Most Reverend Mylo Hubert Vergara, D.D. and the announcement of
the recipients of the first ever Pasig Catholic Mass Media Awards, by which the
finalists may be one of your parishioners.
