All parishes to prepare for the Pope's visit in January

PASIG - Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara instructed all parishes to prepare for the upcoming visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines on January 15 - 19, 2014 by using the Catechetical reflection and formation modules that are distributed by the Central and Steering Committees of the Papal Visit.

These modules could be used in schools, BECs, bible sharing, prayer meetings and other such gatherings.

The Programs Committee of the Philippine Conference on the New Evangelization (PCNE) of the Archdiocese of Manila offered its services in developing the modules.  CBCP President and Steering Committee Chairman of the Papal Visit Archbishop Socrates Villegas accepted the offer.

There are four sessions in the kit: one module for each of the four months leading up to January 2015.  The first session started last September 2014.

Manila Archbishop and Chair of the Central Committee for the Papal Visit Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle reminds all Archbishops, Bishops and Diocesan Administrators to entrust the program to any person or body that could best disseminate and implement it.

Bishop Mylo responded by entrusting the modules to all parishes in the Diocese.

"As we pray for the spiritual and pastoral fruitfulness of the Pope's visit, let us also explore it as a catechetical moment," Cardinal Tagle said in his endorsement letter.
